Mr. Delbert Clarence “Bert” Quiett, age 58, of Inverness, Florida died Tuesday, Aug. 31, in the Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, Florida following a brief illness. Mr. Quiett was born in Steinhatchee, Florida and lived in Macclenny, Florida and in Perry, Florida for over 25 years before moving to Inverness, Florida five years ago. He worked as an electrician and boilermaker for Cavanta Energy for over 21 years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed salt water fishing and most of all his grandchildren. Mr. Quiett is preceded in death by his sister Louise Combs and is survived by his wife of 40 years, Terri Quiett of Inverness, Florida; three sons, Jason Quiett of Panama City, Florida, Chad Quiett and Chase Quiett both of Perry, Florida; his parents, Louis and Betty Jo Quiett of Macclenny, Florida; five siblings, Linda Barton and Betty Johnson both of Sanderson, Florida, Theresa Brantly and Lisa Darrel both of Macclenny, Florida and Robert Quiett of Folkston, Georgia; two grandchildren, Kaylyn Quiett and Aubrey Quiett. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Quiett will be held Monday, Sept. 6, at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Gibson, Pastor of the Mr. Carmel Baptist Church of Perry, Florida, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida.
