Doris Combs

Ms. Doris Combs, age 83, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away suddenly Monday, September 18th in the Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital, Macclenny, FL. Ms. Doris was born in Sanderson, FL and was a lifelong resident of Baker County. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, FL and enjoyed her visits from the Ladies Visitation Group each Monday. Ms. Doris was a homemaker and was well known for her homemade biscuits and sweet tea. She enjoyed walking on her treadmill twice a day and loved spending time with her family. Ms. Doris is preceded in death by her late husband, Tommy Combs, her parents, Donald and Rosie Harvey, grandchild, Brittney Taylor, and son in law, Delbert Quiett. She is survived by two sons, Don Combs (Laurie) and Danny Combs (Anne) all of Sanderson, FL: two daughters, Chris Johns (Kenny) of Macclenny, FL and Terri Quiett of Perry, FL: one brother, E.H Harvey (Clarine) of Sanderson, FL. Eight grandchildren and six great- grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Combs will be held at 11 A.M., Thursday, September 21st in the Christian Fellowship Temple with Pastors David and Timmy Thomas officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour prior to services). Interment will immediately follow the funeral service in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, FL.
