Mrs. Doris Jean Jarrell, age 92, of Lake City, Florida was called to her eternal home to be with the Lord she loved on September 24, 2022. Surrounded by her family, she peacefully took the hand of Jesus as her daughters sang “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there’s just something about that name”. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother and she enjoyed every opportunity to be with her family. She was a charter member of the Westmoreland Church of Christ in Huntington, West Virginia and a long time member of the Sharon Christian Church in West Palm Beach, Florida. She retired from the First National Bank of Palm Beach, where she worked for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Vinson W. Jarrell, her parents Arnold C. and Martha Evelyn Hill Roberts, two brothers, Ned and Donald Roberts. Also preceding her was one grand- niece, a grand daughter-in-law and a great-grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah S. (Richard) Coburn of Fort White, Florida and Brenda J. (John) Gould of Lake City, Florida; and John Dial, who she considered a son, of Huntington, West Virginia; a niece, Becky Jarrett of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; she had seven grandchildren, Joseph Coburn and Margaret Coburn of Fort White, Florida, Joanna Meeks, San Antonio, Texas, Lisa Gould and John G. Gould, III both of Lake City, Florida, Suzie Howard of Ocoee, Florida and John Robert Taylor of Alaska; she had 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and one grand- nephew. A visitation and gathering with the family will be held from 6 to 7 P.M. Monday, Oct. 3, with a eulogy given by Mr. Richard Coburn at 7 P.M. at Guerry Funeral Home. A crypt-side entombment service will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, Oct. 5, in the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, Tequesta, Florida. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
