Mrs. Edith Mae Cheshire, age 87, of Fort White, Florida passed away on Saturday, March 26, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mrs. Cheshire was born in Nortonville, Kentucky and resided in White Springs, Florida for over 50 years before moving to Fort White, Florida eight years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed raising flowers and working in her garden. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Liza Lamb Butler. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James E. “Jimmy” Cheshire of Fort White, Florida; one daughter, Lisa B. (Ricky) Ford of Fort White, Florida; three sons, Don (Cindy) Cheshire and Darrel Cheshire both of White Springs, Florida and Timmy (Susan-Tiny) Cheshire of Lake City, Florida; two sisters, Lois Adcock of Dawson Springs, Kentucky and Marion Foster of Earlington, Kentucky; Six grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Cheshire will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, March 31, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Cheshire officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, White Springs, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
