Mr. Byron Edward Keen, age 83, of Lake City, Florida passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Keen had lived in Lake City, Florida most of his life. He was the owner operator of Keen’s Aviation & Recycling in the Bahamas for many years until ill health forced his retirement. He enjoyed being with friends, car racing, Florida Gator football, his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Criss Keen, his parents, Byron and Rosette Waldron Keen and his brother Shelton Keen. He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne (Mick) Spears of Venice, Florida; his son, Ronald E. “Ron” Keen of Lake City, Florida; four siblings, Dorothy Christie, Byronelle Witt, Voncille Hale and Wayne Keen; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Keen will be held at 11 A. M. Friday, Oct. 7, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Dustin Busscher officiating. Interment will be in Scott Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
