Mr. Ernest “Todd” Wilson, age 50, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, September 20th in Homerville, Georgia. Mr. Wilson died doing what he loved which was hunting. Mr. Wilson was born and raised in Texas but spent his later years in Lake City. Mr. Wilson worked as a sergeant at the Columbia County Correctional Institution and was an avid outdoorsman that thoroughly enjoyed hunting and salt water fishing. He was a simple man that also enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren.
Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his father J.R. Wilson and sister Tammy McCutchens. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Sunnye Wilson of Texas; One son, Tyler Wilson of Lake City, Florida; One daughter, Shalyn Wilson of Lake City, Florida; Three brothers, Jay Wilson, Scott (Jahnette) Wilson, and Larry Nowell all of Texas; and two sisters, Stormy (Luke) Waldron of Lake City, Florida, and Amanda (Lance) Boone of Texas. Five grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews also survive.
A service to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Wilson will be held at 10 A.M., Monday, September 28th, in the Chapel of GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with family will be from 9:30 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Final disposition will be by cremation.
