Mr. Frederick John “Fred” Misich, age 87, of Lake City, Florida died Wednesday, May 19, in Lake City, Florida. Mr. Misich was born in Barberton, Ohio and had resided in Lake City, Florida since 2005. He was employed as a quality inspector for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for over 25 years. He was of the Catholic faith, a graduate of Barberton High School, an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and served in the 13th Bomb Squadron. He loved to do gardening, ride his bike, swimming and his pets. He was an excellent neighbor and friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Christine Misich in 2012, his sister, Dolores Dee Krizay and step-daughter, Lysa Gearhart-Blake: he is survived by his niece, Denise (Richard) Lay of Barberton, Ohio: brother-in-law, William Krizay of Barberton, Ohio: step-son, Timothy (Jennifer) August and step-grandson, James M. Gearhart. A graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Misich will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 1, in the Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
