Mrs. Geneva Gale "Jenny" Corby, age 87, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Wednesday, April 13 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Geneva was born in Charleston, WV to the late Russell and Della Smith Carpenter. She lived in Jacksonville, FL before relocating to Macclenny, FL over 30 years ago. Mrs. Geneva was the owner of Ms. Jenny’s Restaurant for many years and attended The Taylor Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, loved cooking, going to yard sales and spending time with her family. Mrs. Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, her late husband, James F. Corby, two daughters, Debra Johns and Vanessa May, two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by two sons, Danny May and Dennis May (Rose) both of Glen St. Mary, FL: four daughters, Diane May of Taylor, FL, Patty White of Macclenny, FL, Geneva Beck (Leon) of Macclenny, FL and Kathy Soares of Sacramento, CA. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Geneva will be held at 2 P.M., Monday, April 18 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M.
