Mrs. Hazel Ann Finley, age 69, of Lake City, Florida died Wednesday, Aug. 18th, at North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida following an illness. Mrs. Finley was born in Live Oak, Florida and has lived in Lake City, Florida all her life. She worked at Walmart for many years and was a member of Evangel Church of God in Lake City, Florida for over 20 years. Mrs. Finley loved southern gospel music and going to gospel music sings. She loved to talk, cook and bake until she was no longer able, and reading books on Amish culture. She loved her family and loved spending time with them, especially on Christmas which was her favorite holiday. Mrs. Finley was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. Brannen and Betty Howard and one sister, Jeannie Randall. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Ray Finley of Lake City, Florida; two sons, Anthony Black of Gainesville, Florida and Hollie Crawford of Lake City, Florida. One daughter, Angela Waldron of Lake City, Florida. Five brothers; Kenneth Brannen of Missouri, Joseph Fennel of Tennessee, David Brannen, Gene Fennel, and Claude Brannen all of Florida. Six sisters; Willene Pullum of Georgia, Marilyn Johns, Rachel Pellicer, Karen Kenzle, Frankie Maulden, and Cathy Ormon all of Florida. Four grandchildren; Shane Mooney, Chelsea Black, Bethanie (Jacob) Bairen, and Aiden Black all of Florida, also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hazel Finley will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Aug. 25th, at Evangel Church of God, Lake City, Florida with Rev. Rick Holmes and John Hathaway officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, Aug. 25th (One hour Before Services) at the church.
