Mr. Henry Daniel “Danny” Hodges, age 65, of Glen St. Mary, Florida died Friday, April 3, in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospice, Jacksonville, Fla. following an extended illness. Mr. Hodges was born in Macclenny, Florida and lived in Baker county all of his life. He was as a heavy equipment operator and did other construction work for Canaday Construction Company, Macclenny, Florida for many years. He enjoyed deer hunting with his dogs, gardening and his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rafus C. and Luevenia Bennett Hodges, Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Tara Hodges of Macclenny, Fla.: two sons, Jacob Hodges and Kyle Hodges both of Sanderson, Fla.: Two step-children, Krystal Starling of Jacksonville, Fla. and Jonathan Starling of Macclenny, Fla.: four sisters, Sandy Koon and Joanne Rudd both of Kentucky, Connie Green and Mary Jane Pritchard both of Sanderson, Fla.: four brothers, Rafus C. Hodges, Jr., Gary Hodges, Jefferson Hodges and Timmy Hodges all of Sanderson, Fla.: four grandchildren, Taylor Hodges, Kaleb Hodges, Ashton Robinson and Kendell Cone also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Hodges will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, April 7, in the Macedonia Cemetery, Baker County, Fla. with Rev. Albert Starling officiating.
