Mr. Howard Monroe Hodges, Jr., age 67, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at his residence following a sudden illness. Mr. Hodges was born in Rocky Mount, Virginia and lived in Lake Worth, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1990. He was employed as a truck driver with Pritchett Trucking, Lake Butler, Florida for over 25 years. He was a member of the Journey Church, White Springs, Florida and a former member of the Florida National Guard. He enjoyed his grandchildren and spending quality time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard M. and Myrtle E. Wright Hodges, Sr. and his sister, Frances Elizabeth Hodges Clark. He is survived by his wife, Lynne Hodges of Lake City, Florida; three daughters, Amanda Harrell, Danielle Grimes and Stephanie Garmany all of Lake City, Florida; two sisters, Wanda Perdue and Ann McGhee both of Rocky Mount, Virginia; six grandchildren, Brooklynn Hodges, Blythe Harrell, Dayton Grimes, Lawson Garmany, Brylynn Grimes and Kaine Garmany also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Hodges will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, Dec. 29, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Bryant of the Journey Church of White Springs, Fla. officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida
