Mrs. Irma Jean Darley, age 80, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Tuesday, April 4, in the HCA Florida Lake City Hospital, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mrs. Darley was born in Montgomery, Alabama and resided in Tallahassee, Florida before moved to Lake City, Florida in 1989. She worked as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with the Lake City V.A. Medical Center for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Southside Baptist Church and loved being in her garden, visiting various beaches and spending time with her family. She was also a dedicated Seminoles fan. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Hermione Sessions, Sr., her brother Rocky Sessions and her daughter, Kimberly Prine. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, James David Darley, Jr. of Lake City, Florida; one daughter, Kristy Brumley of Atlanta, Georgia; two sons, Patrick Polk of Lake City, Florida and Marcus Polk of Lynn, Mass.; two brothers, J.T. Sessions, Jr. of Cantonment, Florida and Don Sessions of Shelby, N.C.: numerous grand and great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Darley will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, April 12, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Don Sessions of Shelby, N.C. officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, April 11, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
