Isaac "Dick" Davis

Mr. Isaac “Dick” Davis Jr., age 87, of Macclenny, Fl passed away Saturday, February 19 in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Davis was born to the late Isaac and Loma Raulerson Davis in Sanderson, FL. He was a lifelong resident of Baker County and was a member of the New Hope Church. Mr. Davis worked as a pipefitter for Safety, Fire and Sprinkler for over 20 years and worked for W.W. Gay for numerous years until his retirement. He enjoyed spending time on his back porch, tending to his yard, and spending time with his family. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife, Eloise Davis: one son, Stephen Davis (Jennifer) of Macclenny, FL: four daughters, Connie Davis of Macclenny, FL, Faye Griffin (Bobby) of Macclenny, FL, Pat Blackburn (Lindall) of Russellville, KY, and Tina Sharp (Harold) of Macclenny, FL: one sister, Joyce Wilkerson (Ricky) of Glen St. Mary, FL: fifteen grandchildren, Robert Griffin, Tim Griffin, Chad Whitfield, Shannon Whitfield, Heather Voss, Nikki Wiest, Danielle Linton, Homer Blackburn, Harold Sharp, Jr., Christopher Sharp, Justin Baxter, Jeremy Sharp, Rachel Thomas, Sarah Beth Davis, and Lucas Davis. Numerous great grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Davis will be held at 11 A.M., Tuesday, February 22 in New Hope Church with Pastor J.C. Lauramore and Rev. Shane Conner officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Monday, February 21 at the church. Interment will follow the funeral services in Turner Cemetery.
