Mr. James Albert “Jim” Collins, age 60, of St. George, Georgia died Monday, Aug. 21, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Collins was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan and resided in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to St. George, Georgia 17 years ago. He worked as a supervisor of marine construction at Bellingham Marine, Jacksonville, Florida until becoming disabled. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, wood working, taxidermy and his animals. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his best friends, Matt Clark, Brad Raulerson, Leonard and Debbie Burnette and Mimi and Dodad. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul A. and Thersea Mae Werner Collins and a brother, Robert Collins. He is survived by his wife, Tammy Collins of St. George, Georgia: Four children, James A. (Brandy) Collins, Jr, and Lyndsey Earwood both of Jacksonville, Florida, Felecia (Steve) Hodges of Macclenny, Florida and Natalie (Josh) Tanner of Yulee, Florida: One sister, Brenda Leeds of Arizona: Two brothers, Butch (Shelia) Collins of Jacksonville, Florida and T.C. (Melody) Collins of Macclenny, Florida: Nine grandchildren also survive. There will be no services per Mr. Collins wishes. Friends are welcome to call on the family at their home. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
