James Gordon Langley, Sr. born on November 22, 1946, walked peacefully through the gates of Heaven surrounded by his family at the age of 75 on November 21, 2022. After a short but difficult battle following surgery, he made the noble decision that he was ready for the fight to be done and peacefully passed on. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Langley, his daughter and son-in-law Donna and Michael Stilwell, and his son and daughter-in-law Jimmy and Kelly Langley all of Lake City. Besides his wife and children, he is also survived by his greatest pride and joy his grandchildren Wyatt and Haley Stilwell of Macclenny and Chelsea and Jarrod Mongeon of Caryville, TN along with the two absolute lights of his life his two great-grandchildren Sutton Chris and Doc Jameson Stilwell of Macclenny.
Although we are sad with his passing and will always miss him, we have peace knowing he is in the arms of God and we will see him again. Rest easy Papa!
There will be a celebration of life gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to make a donation in Papa’s memory to The American Heart Association, Haven Hospice or the charity of your choice.
