James "Chinaboy" Long

Mr. James Wesley “Chinaboy” Long, Sr., age 60, of Sanderson, Florida died Saturday, June 4, in the Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Long was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived in Baker county all of his life. He worked as a sale representative with Fleet Pride Truck and Trailer Parts, Jacksonville, Florida for over 15 years. He loved deer hunting and operated Chinaboy’s deer recovery hunting for many Northeast Florida hunters. He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. and Donnie Mae Harris Long, Sr. and six siblings, Gracie Richards, Keith Gebhardt, James Earl Herrin, Bobby Herrin, Greg Herrin and Rusty Herrin. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kim Long of Sanderson, Florida; three children, James “Jay” W. Long, Jr. of Middleburg, Florida, Kayla (Justin) Stewart of Glen St. Mary, Florida and Kassidy Long of Sanderson, Florida; five grandchildren, Tristan Gagnon, Titan Gagnon, Jaelyn Long, Ryla Faye Stewart and Jayda Stewart; five siblings, Melvie Jean Raulerson, Alan Herrin, Pat Herrin,Trish Crowther and Ben Herrin and a close caring friend and companion, Mr. R.B. Lauramore.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Long will be held at 6 P.M. Tuesday, June 7, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Mr. Richard Yarbrough officiating. Final disposition will be by cremation. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 6 P.M. (One hour before services). Please omit flowers and consider a memorial to the family.
