Mr. James Michael "Bo" Thomas, son of Cathy and Donny L. Thomas, was born on July 20th, 1973, in Orange Park, Florida. He grew up in Macclenny, Florida and attended Baker County High School. After high school, he worked in the construction profession and opened his own construction company, Bo Thomas Construction, LLC. Bo is survived by 2 sons: Austin and Tyler Thomas, who he loved more than life, their mother Jeannie Thomas and 2 step daughters, Tara and Breanna, who he loved as his own and raised with their mother, Teresa Thomas. Bo has 4 grandchildren: Annslie, Alister, Kylie, Landyn, and was expecting his 5th grandchild by his firstborn son Tyler, all of which were his heart and soul. He is also survived by his brother: David Dearing, and his 3 sisters, Michelle Thomas, Shelley Vignola, and Amanda Matti. Bo had 5 nieces and nephews, Andrew Dearing, Avery Dearing, Austin Matti, Alyssa Matti, and Hayden Crews.
Bo was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and playing music. He was a member of the Whiskey Moon String Band, Modern Day Troubadours, and his most recent band Confederate Moon. He played the acoustic and electric guitar, and the harmonica. He also sang with a purpose.
His life will be cherished and celebrated by his family and friends, and he will always be remembered as a loving and charismatic man. A celebration of life to honor the life of Mr. Thomas will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, August 8th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 11 to 1:00 P.M. (two hours prior to the service). Interment will follow the funeral services at New River Baptist Church, 16703 SW 144th Ave, Brooker, FL 32622 with a reception after the internment service.
