Mrs. Jean Gordon, age 78, of Bryceville, FL passed away Wednesday, December 8 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Jean was born in Portland, OR and grew up in Corbin, KY. She was a graduate of Corbin High School, Class of 1961. Mrs. Jean lived many years in Jacksonville and Cape Coral, FL before moving to Bryceville, FL over 30 years ago. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Macclenny, FL and a part of the Bryceville Community Club. In her spare time she enjoyed being outside working in her yard and spending time with her family and grandchildren which were her biggest joy. Mrs. Jean loved travel and road trip adventures. Shopping was one of her favorite past times. Mrs. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, James and Sylvia Alsip. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Michael Gordon: two daughters, Tammy Collier (Steve) of Canton, GA and Samantha Clark of Macclenny, FL: one sister, Fay Gilbert (Earl) of Jacksonville, FL: two grandchildren, Cameron Collier of Canton, GA and Zachary Clark of Macclenny, FL. A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday 12/17/21 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home Macclenny, FL with Chaplain Tom Tyer of Community Hospice, officiating. Gathering with the family will be from 2 to 3 p.m. (one hour before the service) at the funeral home.
