Jerry Arthur Parnell

Mr. Jerry Arthur Parnell, age 74, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 20, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Parnell resided in Lake City, Florida all of his life. He worked as a boilermaker with Occidental Chemical Company in White Springs, Fla. and most recently with Gulf Tank & Lining Company until his retirement. Mr. Parnell graduated from Columbia High School Class of 1966, was an Air Force Vietnam veteran who served three tours in Vietnam. He was a member of the Lake City Moose Lodge #624 and received his Pilgrim Degree. He loved fishing and was an avid Florida Gator fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Frankie Williamson Parnell. He is survived by his sister, Linda Sue (Rocky) Yarbrough of Lake City, Florida; three brothers, Dwayne Parnell of Jennings, Florida, Dewy Parnell of Dade City, Florida and Danny Parnell of Sarasota, Florida; one nephew, A.J. Yarbrough; three nieces, Pam Bennett, Lindsay Westberry and Skylar Parnell also survive. Private services will be held at a later date. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. MAIN Blvd., Lake City, Florida is in charge of services.
