Mr. Jerry Edwin Wilkerson, age 57, of Lake City, Florida passed away Monday, Nov. 21, in the Suwannee Valley Care Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Wilkerson was born in Gainesville, Florida and had resided in Lake City, Florida all of his life. He worked as a sheet metal mechanic with HAECO Americas, Lake City, Florida for many years. He was a graduate of Columbia High School and enjoyed riding motorcycles with his group of friends. Mr. Wilkerson was preceded in death by his father, Marshal Edwin Knight, his brother, Lewis Shawn Wilkerson and his grandfather, Rufus A. Lane. His is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Wilkerson of Lake City, Florida; four children, Jeremy Allen Wilkerson and Johannah (Cody) Vaughan both of Lake City, Florida, Austin Bond (Ashlyn) Lynch of Jacksonville, Florida and Justin Cody (Victoria) Wilkerson of Greenville, South Carolina; his mother, Elsie Lane Wilkerson of Lake City, Florida; ten grandchildren, Laney, Nicholas, Kayley, Abigail, Colton, Timothy, Caleb, Waylon, Willie and Bo also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Wilkerson will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, Nov. 26, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Bishop Rocky Thomas with the Church of Jesus Christ LDS officiating. Interment will be in Santa Fe Cemetery, Suwannee County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 1 to 2 P.M. (one hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida
