Mrs. Joe-Ann Roberts, age 73, of Maxville, Florida died Monday, May 11, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Roberts was born in Jacksonville, Florida and resided in Maxville, Florida since 1977. She was a former school bus driver with Duval and Clay public school systems and worked as a waitress with Ryan Steakhouse, Jacksonville, Fla. She was a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting antiques, making crafts and sewing, gardening and her pets. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Oliver and Deliah Wilma Rean Hodges Roberson. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Don H. Roberts of Maxville, Florida: one daughter, Lynn (Mark) Pierce of Northport, Florida: one son, Mark (Lori) S. Roberts of Sobiski, Wisconsin: one sister, Cynthia (George) Joos of Maxville, Fla.: One brother, Larry (Dorothy) Roberson of Jacksonville, Fla.: Two grandchildren, Dustin Roberts and Dale Holsenbeck: one great-grandchild, Bran Roberts. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Roberts will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, May 15, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Crews, Pastor of Clay Hill Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Emmaus Cemetery, St. George, Georgia. Visitation and gathering for family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday (one hour before services) at the funeral home.
