Joseph Frederick Wilburn

On November 25, 1956, Joseph Frederick Wilburn was born into this world to the loving arms of Vivian (Harvey) Dority and James Wilburn.  On October 7, 2023, he was born into Heaven to the loving arms of Jesus. 

Fred passed at his home surrounded by family. 

Fred lived his life as the perfect example of a country boy with his love for hunting and fishing coming in a close second to his love for his family.  He spent many years teaching his children, nieces and nephews the joy of a long ride in the woods.   Known to many as the “911 Man”, he frequently sprang into action to help any and all who called him with a need. 

He is survived by his wife Cynthia Rowe Wilburn, children Rebecca Wilburn, Jennifer (Lee) O’Steen, Jeremy (Jennifer) Wilburn. Grandchildren Pearl, Dakota, Jayden, and Gabriella Wilburn and Erin and Nathaniel O’Steen and his mother Vivian (Harvey) Dority, Sister Naomi (Andy) Conner in addition to many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother, stepfather, father and two nieces.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 10th at 1 P.M. at Taylor Church with Pastors Mark Woods and Richard Yarbrough officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held at 12 P.M. (One hour before services) at the church. Guerry Funeral Home, US 90 E., Macclenny, FL has been entrusted with the service arrangements.
