Mrs. Joy Harris Prevatt, age 85, of Glen St. Mary, Florida passed away on Wednesday, Jan, 25, at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Prevatt was born in Granby, Missouri and had resided in Baker County and Glen St. Mary, Florida since 1952. She was a homemaker and member of the New Congregational Methodist Church in Union County and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lake Butler Chapter # 40. She enjoyed fishing, growing her flowers, going to yard sales and playing with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,Edward Raymond Prevatt,Sr.,her father, Fred Anthony Harris and her mother, Geraldine Harris, four siblings, Paul Harris, Donnie Ray Harris, James Harris and Keith Gage and a step-son, Richard Craft. She is survived by four daughters, Linda Joy (Donald) Rosier of Lawtey, Florida, Paula Diane Craft of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christiana Ralynne Force of Glen St. Mary, Florida and Cindy Gage of Arizona;her son, Edward Raymond Prevatt, Jr.of Glen St.Mary, Florida two sister, Mary Beth Brantley and Janice Koestner both of Florida; two brothers, Fred Harris and Tommy Harris of Arizona; Nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Prevatt will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, Jan. 31, in the Chapel of Guerry Funereal Home with Rev. Randall Griffis, Pastor of Victory Revival Center, Starke, Florida, officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Macclenny, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family be from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida.
