Mr. Kenneth Dwight Hunter, age 78, of Macclenny, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 30, in Haven Hospice, Orange Park, Florida following a long illness. Mr. Hunter was born in Starke, Florida to Mr. Roy and Elsie Hunter. He served in the Army during the Korean War, and worked as a bridge painter for the painters union most of his life. Mr. Hunter loved going fishing, hunting, camping, and anything that had to do with the outdoors. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren taking them to Cross City to go swimming. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elsie Hunter. Step Mother, Maggie Green Hunter, one brother, Roy D. Hunter, Jr., one sister, Barbara Hunter Thomas, and one grandson, Ronnie Evans, Jr. He is survived by 3 sons, Jason (Leah) Beasley, of Maine. David Charles Beasley and Dwayne Davidson both of Jacksonville, Florida. Two daughters, Melody (Edward) Saul of Glen St. Mary, Florida. Jodijo Joy Hunter Hedrick of Macclenny, Florida. One brother, Richard (Patsy) Hunter of Macclenny, Florida and two half brothers, Jimmie and Ronnie Pigot. 14 grandchildren, Timothy and Austin Davidson. Randy Lynn, Tayler, and Hayley Beasley. Hunter Lynn, Dylan, and Riley Pembelton. Brantley and Chase Hunter. Samantha Kuster, Dawn, Mikki, and Constance Evans. 12 great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Hunter will be held Friday, November 4, at 3PM in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 2pm to 3pm.
