Mr. Leon Horace Cheshire, age 84, of White Springs, Florida died Saturday, Jan. 9, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida. He had lived all of his life in White Springs, Florida and worked as a first class mechanic with PCS-Occidental White Springs, Florida for over 23 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Long Branch Congregational Methodist Church, White Springs, Florida and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ollie Jane Cheshire, his parents, James and Lizzie Kemp Cheshire and seven siblings, Raymond, Grover, I.J. and Bernie Cheshire, Vera Stormant, Mary Tomlinson and Lure Mae Tomlinson. He is survived by two sons, Chris Cheshire and James G. (Angela) Cheshire both of White Springs, Florida: one sister, Doris Repshar of Branford, Florida: one brother, Jimmy Cheshire of Ft. White, Florida: a special friend, Betty Hansen: Eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Cheshire will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, Jan. 13, in the Riverside Cemetery, White Springs, Florida with Rev. Tommy Lindsey, Pastor of Long Branch Congregational Methodist Church, officiating and assisted by Rev. Randy Ogburn, Pastor of Watertown Congregation Methodist Church, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 5 to 7 P.M.
