Mrs. Linda Gale Taylor, age 77, of Moniac, Georgia died Friday, June 18, in the Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospice, Jacksonville, Florida following an extended illness. She was born in Jacksonville, Florida and had resided in Moniac, Georgia since 1968. She was a homemaker and member of the Moniac Baptist Church. She was a former Girl Scout and Brownie leader, loved music, singing, fishing and played the piano for the Moniac Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas F. and Doris Kersey Gaskins and five siblings, Monroe, Lane, Tommy, Yvonne and Cathy. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Larry D. Taylor of Moniac, Georgia: two daughters, Cathy Mizell of Jacksonville, Florida and Windy (Keith) Brown of Moniac, Georgia: two sisters, Jenny Douglass of Starke, Florida and Helen Bennett of Jacksonville, Florida: Four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Taylor will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 22, in the Moniac Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Rouse, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Canaday Cemetery, Moniac, Georgia. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday (One hour before services) at the church.
