Mrs. Lisa Marlene Cowart, age 55, of Lake City, Florida died Thursday, May 31, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following a sudden illness. Mrs. Cowart had resided in Lake City, Florida all of her life. She worked many years as a certified nursing assistant in home health and was former produce manager at Spire’s Food Store, Lake City, Florida. She loved her dogs and enjoyed plants, gardening and visiting with friends. She attended the Lake City Church of God. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline Frances Davis and her brother, Joe Horton. She is survived by her four sons, Travis Hobbs, Alex (Desirai) Darrah, Randall S. “Tony” Darrah and Charles “C.J.” (Cassie) Cowart al of Lake City, Florida: Her father, George Lovett Horton of Lake City, Florida: Two sisters, Ester McCoy of Lake City, Florida and Brenda Crews of Jacksonville, Florida: Three brothers, Randy Horton and David Hobbs both of Lake City, Florida and Jimmy Horton of Jacksonville, Florida: Six grandchildren also survive. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 9, in the Lake City Church of God with Rev. Sam Back officiating.
