Mrs. Lucille Prescott, age 87, of Baxter, Florida died Friday, Jan. 1st, at Ed Fraser Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Prescott was born in Baxter, Florida. She worked for the Baker County School System as a bus driver for many years. Mrs. Prescott loved to farm, go fishing, working in her garden, raising chickens, and cooking for everyone! It was well known that everyone was welcome at her home and she raised countless generations around a dinner table. Mrs. Prescott is preceded in death by her parents; Hardey and Nova Rhoden; Her loving husband, Earl Arvil Prescott; One sister; Kansas Rhoden; One half sister; Shirley Davis; One brother; Seaf Rhoden; two half brothers; Claude and Tony Canaday; and One daughter; Nellie Prescott. She is survived by Three half sisters; Reatha Mae Burnsed, Jackie Harvey, Donnell Monson; One half brother; Jasper Newton Canaday; Eight children; Joyce (Les) Gideons, George (Wanda) Prescott, Nelson Prescott, Deborah (Terry) Crews, Janet (Blair) Gatlin, Helen (Tim) Beal, Norma Jean ( Jimmy) Lauramore, and Earl (Lisa) Prescott; 16 grandchildren,19 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren also survive. A Graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Lucille Prescott will be held on Wednesday Jan. 6th at 2:00 P.M. at Canaday Cemetery. Interment will immediately follow the graveside service.
