Margaret Jones Sands

Ms. Margaret Jones Sands, age 89, of Macclenny, Florida passed away Tuesday, October 10th in Frank Wells Nursing Home, Macclenny, FL following a brief illness. Ms. Margaret was born in Sanderson, FL and lived many years in Jacksonville and St. Petersburg, FL before returning to Baker County in 2000. She worked for over 50 years in property management where she managed apartment complexes all over Florida and beyond. Ms. Margaret attended Grace Fellowship Church and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family. Ms. Margaret is preceded in death by her late husband, Jim Sands, her parents, Lewis and Tressie Jones, sister, Bernice Raulerson and brothers, Earl and Franklin Jones. She is survived by her children, Robin (Ricky) Moran of Glen St. Mary, FL, Joey (Misty) Sharman of Bessemer, AL and Robert (Brynde) Connor of Glen St. Mary, FL: two step children, Jeri (Peter) Segers of Macclenny, FL and Keith (Connie) Sands of Jacksonville, FL: four grandchildren, Jeremy (Tina) Moran, April (Donny) Raulerson, Victoria (Ben) Pittman, and Trey (Alex) Connor: seven great-grandchildren, Bryson, Pierson, HardyLee, Rhett, Peyton, Case and Baby Boy Pittman who is on the way and one brother, Ray Jones. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Sands will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, October 13th in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Pastor Nathaniel Simmons and Pastor Joel Griffis officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be one hour prior to services from 10 to 11 A.M. Interment will follow the funeral services in Woodlawn Cemetery. Guerry Funeral Home, US 90 E., Macclenny, FL has been entrusted with the service arrangements.
