Margie Laverne Dice

Mrs. Margie Laverne Dice, age 82, of Taylor, Florida died Saturday, Aug. 6, in the Ascension St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida following a long illness.  Mrs. Dice had resided in the Taylor community of Baker County all of her life. She worked as an administrative clerk in the Baker County Tax Collector’s office for twenty seven years. She was a member of The Lord’s Church of Taylor, Florida and enjoyed having family gatherings, attending reunions, cooking, dancing and helping people in need. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Cecil Dice, her parents, William A. and Sarah Dorman Harvey, her siblings, Geraldine Driggers, Rudolph Jones, Beth Searcy, Billy Harvey, A.J. Harvey, Clifton Harvey and Violet Harvey. She is survived by her daughter, Candy Dice of Jacksonville, Florida; her son Darrell Dice of Taylor, Florida; one sister, Barbara Ann Ball of Taylor, Florida; one brother, Franklin D. Harvey of Lake George, Florida; Five grandchildren. Dee Dee Dice, Darla Lee, Chase Norman, Angel Dice, and Charity Dice; Five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Dice will be held at 11:30 A.M.  Wednesday, Aug. 10, in The Lord’s Church with Rev. David Griffis officiating and assisted by Rev. Bobby Griffin. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10:30 to 11:30 A.M. (One hour before services) at the church.
