Mrs. Marilyn Joyce Key, age 78, of Fort White, Florida died Saturday, July 31, at her home following an extended illness. She was born in New Castle, Indiana and resided in Kissimmee, Florida before moving to Fort White, Florida 20 years ago. She worked as a school secretary with the Osceola County School Board for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed her grandchildren, riding her tractor, going on cruises and watching the Hallmark Channel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin “Ben” Harrison Key and her parents, Wilbur L. and Mary G. Carnes Luellen: one brother, and three sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Mark) Kiefer of Fort White, Florida: her son Bryan (Chris) Key of St. Cloud, Florida: nine grandchildren, Jeremy (Jessica) Key, Brandi Beard Millin, Amanda (Jordyn) Harvie, Jaclynn (Ted) Stanton, Josh Kiefer, Trevor Kiefer, Cheyenne (Nate) Thomas, Ryne Koenig and Mckenna Kiefer: four great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Key will be held at 4:30 P.M. Wednesday, Aug. 4, in the Evergreen Cemetery, Suwannee County, Florida.
