Mr. Marvin Aaron Davis, age 63, of Glen St. Mary, Florida died Sunday, April 1, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida and lived in the Sanderson and Glen St. Mary, Florida area all of his life. He worked as an iron worker in the construction industry for over 30 years until ill health forced his retirement in 2013. He was a member of the local iron workers Union #597 of Jacksonville, Florida. He loved watching NASCAR events ,the Florida Gators and enjoyed his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mancie Aaron and Vergalyne Henderson Davis. He is survived by his wife, Janet Davis of Glen St. Mary, Florida: One daughter, Carley Davis of Glen St. Mary, Florida: Two sons, Matthew (Sarah) Davis of Macclenny, Florida and Michael Davis of Palatka, Florida: Two brothers, Rusty (Gail) Davis of Sanderson, Florida and Les ( Maggie) Stone of Glen St. Mary, Florida: Four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Davis will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 4, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. David Thomas, Pastor of Christian Fellowship Temple, officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M.
