Mrs. Mary Ella Anderson, age 88, of Lake City, Florida passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, Florida following an extended illness. She was a fifth generation Floridian, residing in Lake City all of her life. She was a lifelong member of the Fellowship Baptist Church and was the last of 12 children born to Horace R. and Edna Lang Godbold. She fondly remembered her years as a school cafeteria worker at Niblack Elementary School from 1971-1996 and always enjoyed seeing the students she served as they grew to adulthood, starting family and careers of their own. She frequently could be found working in her yard or fields growing that came from seed or dug up and moved from the side of the road to her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Osburn and son-in-law Jim Osburn; one grandson, Sam Osburn and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Anderson will be held at 3 P.M. Friday, Dec. 3, in the Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Suwannee County, Florida with Rev. Randy Ogburn, Pastor of Watertown Congregational Methodist Church officiating. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
