Mr. Michael Wayne Ellis, age 63, of Lake City, Florida died Saturday, Aug. 1, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. He was born in Paw-Paw, Michigan and had resided in Lake City, Florida since 1975. He worked with the Florida Department of Corrections for many years and worked with the Lake City Church of Christ missions. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Bunnell, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson W. and Zelmer M. Gossett Ellis a son, Paul James Moses and a sister, Lillian Ellis. He is survived by his wife, Carline M. Ellis of Lake City, Florida: a daughter, Mary (Leon) Singleton of Jasper, Florida: Two sons, John ( Mary) Moses of Dowling Park, Florida and Daniel (Amanda) Moses of Live Oak, Florida: One sister, Tina Ellis of Madison, Florida: Two brothers, Steve Ellis and Stanly Ellis both of Lake City, Florida. Sixteen grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of M. Ellis will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, Aug. 7, in the Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Florida with Church Rector Father Viadimir Kaydanov of the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Bunnell, Florida officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Friday (One hour before services) at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
