Mrs. Patricia Joan Browder, age 82, of Macclenny, Florida died Saturday, July 31, in the Macclenny Nursing & Rehab Center, Macclenny, Florida following an extended illness. She was born in Flint, Michigan and lived in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Macclenny, Florida in 1979. For over 26 years she owned and operated Jo’s Hallmark Cards of Macclenny, Live Oak and Jacksonville, Florida until her retirement in 2008. She was a former long distance telephone operator for Michigan Bell and Southern Bell. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Macclenny, Florida loved sewing, reading and cross word puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Earl Browder, Sr. and her parents, James G. and Hazel McCann Bolton. She is survived by her son, Joseph E. (Terri) Browder, Jr. of Fleming Island, Florida: four daughters, Melody (Donald) Wiegand of Glen St. Mary, Florida, Marcia (Bobby) Nevin and Joan (Scott) Parker both of Macclenny, Florida and Mary Lynn (Jimmy) Myers of Lilburn, Georgia: Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Browder will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, Aug. 6, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home, Macclenny, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Thursday, Aug. 5, at Guerry Funeral Home, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida. Interment will be at a later date in Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida where Mrs.Browder will be laid to rest next to her husband.
