Patsy Strozer Buckles

Mrs. Patsy Strozer Buckles, age 92 of Lake City, Florida passed away on April 29th following an extended illness. Mrs. Buckles was born in Columbia County on November 18, 1929 to Peter James Strozer, Jr of Adel, Georgia and Mary Frances Moore of Jasper, Florida. Patsy retired from McCrory Store for 30yrs, worked on a GreenThumb program for 5yrs, and worked for Walmart for a short time. She was a member of First Advent Christian Church and Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Buckles was preceded in death by one sister Rita Roberts of Lake City, FL, one son William Edward Buckles of Lake City, FL, one Granddaughter Stephanie Buckles Ellis of Dacula, two nephews Jim Taylor and Ronnie Brown and one step-niece Marylyn Williams of Lake City, FL.

She is survived by one granddaughter Shannon Buckles Philippus (Kenny) of Plant City, FL, five great-grandchildren Shawn Buckles of Dacula, GA, Maddie Ellis of Dacula, GA, William Philippus of Brandon, FL, Zoey Philippus of Brandon, FL and Mildred Ellis of Dacula, GA. Two step-grandchildren Devin Ellis of Dacula, GA and Erica Ellis of Dacula, GA. Great-great-grandson Drake Casteel of Dacula, FL. Grandnephew Ryan Brown of Lake City, FL and Grandniece Stacy Brown of Lake City, FL. One daughter-in-law Patricia Buckles Stone (Brian) of Beaufort. SC; Two Step-nieces Marti Waldron of Lake City, FL, and Carolyn Griffin of Jacksonville, Fl. 

A graveside service to honor the life of Mrs. Patsy will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 5th in the Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. Rev. Fred Gaylard will be officiating the service. Visitation with the friends and family will be an hour prior, 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
