Mr. Ricky L. Conner, age 60, of Bryceville, Florida died Sunday, April 11, in Baptist Medical Center South, Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Conner was born in Jacksonville, Florida and resided in Bryceville, Florida. He spent over 30 years as a truck driver for various companies including Florida Rock, CSX, and ended his career with Simpkin’s Hauling. He had (2) passions in life, his family and work. If he wasn’t working, he was spending time with his family or friends. If you needed anything, you could always depend on Ricky. He was a diehard Florida Gator fan who loved college sports such as basketball and football and also enjoyed watching Nascar. His hobbies included fixing up vehicles and working on any type of building or repair project. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Lee Conner and Janie Maureen Conner. He is survived by his siblings: Vicki Simpkins, her husband Ace Simpkins, Lisa Pearce, her husband Kenny Pearce, Brenda Harris, and her husband Jimmy Harris: 4 children, Ricky L. Conner Jr., Christy M. Cribb, her husband Randy Cribb, Bradley Higginbotham, his wife Kayla Higginbotham, and daughter Brittany Nettles: 10 grandchildren: Brayden, Autumn, Aubrey, Leighlynn, Harper, Anna, Emmylou, Riley, Layla, Zoey, Austin: and several extended family members: Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and extended family & friends. A funeral service to honor the life Mr. Ricky Conner will be held at 10 A.M. Thursday, April 15, in New Life Baptist Church of Saint George with Rev. James Conner officiating. Interment will be in Emmaus Cemetery, Saint George, Georgia. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, April 14, in Guerry Funeral Home Chapel of Macclenny, Florida. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida is in charge of arrangements.
