It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Robert Harley Beese, Jr., announces his passing on Wednesday, October 30, in the St. Vincent’s Riverside Hospital, Jacksonville, FL. Robert was born on October 25, 1960 to the late Robert Harley Beese, Sr. and Lillian Hodges Beese. Robert was an avid hunter and a member of the Butler Bay Sportsman’s Club. Hunting was his second found passion, after his family and work. Robert was an accomplished tile setter and the owner of Robert Beese Tile Company. He built a very successful business because of his attention to detail and his willingness to stand by his work. Robert served in the Florida Army National Guard for 16 years and dedicated many years to the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. Beese is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lynn Beese: one son, Robert Anthony Beese (Ariel) of Jacksonville, FL: one daughter, Kristy Leigh Goines of Jacksonville, FL: three sisters, Brenda Hunt (Don) of Macclenny, FL, Kathy Dykes and Marie Miles (Larry) both of Jacksonville, FL. Five grandchildren also survive, Steven, Makayla, Lily, Liam and Parker. Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Beese will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, November 2 in the Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Reavis from Shindler Drive Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (one hour before services). Interment will immediately follow the funeral service in Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice of N.E. Florida.
