On February 19, 2022, Ruby Lee Anderson passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Ruby was born to Alfred and Polly Sweat and lifelong resident of Macclenny, FL. She is survived by her son Johnnie Dewayne (Barbara) Anderson of Lake City, daughter Tammy Anderson of Macclenny, five grandchildren, Derek, Dustin, Coleby, Tera & Savannah (Matthew), 2 great-grandchildren, Rylee & Klay. Three sisters, Barbara Ann (Dave) Hohmann, Ola Mae Sweat, Pencie (Danny) Roberts. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Rev. Johnnie Wayne Anderson, her parents Alfred and Polly Sweat, one sister Elizabeth Lowery, four brothers Frank Sweat, Henry Sweat, Leroy Sweat, Robert Sweat. She was a dearly loved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, pastor’s wife, aunt and friend to so many. Ruby always loved helping and serving others. She was a member of the Baldwin Church of God for 30+ years. She enjoyed her weekly game nights with her sisters and many trips and vacations they took together. She was an awesome cook with some of her most loved dishes being her famous Red Velvet Cake, Chocolate Delight and Lima Beans and Rice. To know her was to love her, she was a Godly woman who set the example for us to follow. She was the rock of our family and will be missed dearly. Visitation and gathering with the family will be Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 6-8 pm at Baldwin Church of God, 662 Yellow Water Rd, 32234. The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 1:30 pm also at Baldwin Church of God. Interment will follow the funeral service in Taylor Cemetery.
