Mr. Timothy Allen Parker, age 67, of Lake City, Florida died Sunday, Dec. 5, in the Lake City Medical Center, Lake City, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Allen was born in Jacksonville, Florida and while in the military he resided in Korea and Fort Hood, Texas before moving to Lake City, Florida in 1992. He served 20 years in the U.S. Army, then worked at the V.A. Medical Center, Lake City, Florida and then became an independent contractor and home care provider with Life is Good Agency. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and enjoyed camping, the Florida Gators and was the “O-pa” he enjoyed with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Parker and his father, Lendis Parker. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Parker of Lake City, Florida; his daughter, Wendy (Tom) Parker of Lake City, Florida; three sons, Steven (Kristina) Parker of Chicago, Illinois, Matt (Melinda) Parker and Brock (Deiliana) Parker both of Lake City, Florida; his mother, Genevieve Grimes of Dublin, Georgia. Fifteen grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Parker will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Dec. 13, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Cemetery, Lake City, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. (One hour before services). GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W.
