Tommy L. Combs

Mr. Tommy Leslie Combs, age 85, of Sanderson, FL passed away on July 20,2020.  He was a lifelong resident of Baker County and spent most of life as an electrician.  He was responsible for wiring numerous home and churches in the Sanderson community where he also owned and operated a filling station and car wash.  He was a member of Christian Fellowship Temple.  He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Myrtleleigh Combs, brothers: Elwin, Bobby, Talmedge, Phillip, sister: Helen Brantley. Brother in-law: Elbert Harvey, James Robinson Granddaughter- Brittney Taylor

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Doris Harvey Combs, of Sanderson, FL, 2 sons, Don (Laurie) Combs of Sanderson, Danny (Anne) Combs of Sanderson, Chris (Kenny) Johns of Macclenny, Terri (Delbert) Quiett of Perry, FL.  Siblings: Ray (Linda-Sue) Combs of Glen St. Mary, Verna Dean (Billy) Stewart of Macclenny, Ferrell Robinson of Macclenny, Eugene (Cindy) Combs of Raiford, FL; Brother in-law: E.H. (Clarine) Harvey of Sanderson; Sister in-laws: Jewell Combs of Sanderson, Mary Combs of Jacksonville, Jessie Harvey of Sanderson.   Grandchildren: Jason, Chad, Chase Quiett, Joshua (Emily) Taylor, Lexie (Brian) Dugan, Kenny (Beth) Johns, Danyle Lewis, Leslie (Kevin) Amerson.  4 great-grandchildren: Kaylan and Aubrey Quiett, Michael Johns, and Hollis Taylor.  Lifelong friends Raymond and Francis Phillips also survive.

A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Combs will be held at 11 A.M., Wednesday, July 22nd in the Christian Fellowship Temple, Macclenny, FL, with Rev. David & Timmy Thomas, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, July 21st in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home. Interment will follow the funeral services in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, FL.  Guerry Funeral Home, U.S. 90 E., Macclenny, FL has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
