Mrs. Vickie Marie Knight, age 76, of Fort White, Florida passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 16, in the Bedrock Rehab & Nursing of Lake City, Florida following a long illness. Mrs. Knight was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska and resided in Indiantown, Florida before moving to Lake City, Florida 30 years ago. She worked as a cashier with Walmart of Lake City, Florida for many years until her retirement. She was of the Baptist faith and loved fishing and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Knight and her parents, Vernon and Reba Stubblefield. She is survived by her daughter,Rebecca Ann Ramos of Davenport, Florida; two sons, Steven J. (Ammanda) Knight of Nataila, Texas and Arcie Knight of Fort White, Florida; one sister, Jean Krbes of Rome, Georgia. Six grandchildren, Nicole Wells, Brittany Groenewold, Makayla McKinney, Emily Knight, Robert Knight and James Knight; six great-grandchildren, Wyatt Berrial, Eliot Groenewold, Saul Groenewold, Madilyn Groenewold, Zoey Cook and Molly Wells.
A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Knight will be held on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Rodriquez, Pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 12 to 2 P.M. Saturday (2 hours before services) at Guerry Funeral Home, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida
