Mr. William Earl Wilder, age 91, of Lake City, Florida passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 30, at his residence following a long illness. Mr. Wilder was born in Lake City and had resided in Lake City, Florida most of his life. He worked with the Florida Department of Transportation and then as an inhalation therapist with the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lake City, Florida for over 36 years. He attended the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Lena M. Wilder. He is survived by his wife of 70+ years, Rosa Lee Wilder of Lake City, Florida; two sons, Darrell L. Wilder and Earl W. (Angela) both of Lake City, Florida; three grandchildren, Crystal (Chris) Fulford, Corey (Brantley) Wilder and Dalton Wilder; six great-grandchildren, Cody Fulford, Chase Fulford, Corley Wilder, Caffrey Wilder, Blanton Wilder and Jet Wilder. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Wilder will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 11 A.M. in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor John Kerry officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Columbia County, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M. Tuesday (One hour before services) in the church.
