Mr. Willie Lamar Mauldin, age 74, of High Springs, Florida passed away on Monday, June 6, in the HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, Gainesville, Florida following an extended illness. Mr. Mauldin was born in Worth County, Georgia and had resided in High Springs, Florida since 1969. He was a building contractor and owned Mauldin & Sons Sheetrock, High Springs, Florida for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing, wood craft working and his many farm animals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Wilford and Gladys Della Hartsfield Mauldin, brother James Wilford Mauldin, sister Janice Faye Willis and two grandchildren, Bobby Skidmore, Jr. and Rezhina Skidmore. He is survived by his wife, Delores Ann Mauldin of High Springs, Florida; five children, David Lamar (Annette) Holland of Newton, Georgia, David Lamar (Kimberly) Mauldin of Wasilla, Alaska, Susan Ann (Bob) Skidmore of Patriot, Ohio, Willie Wilford Carrie) Mauldin of High Springs, Florida and Becky Lin (Wayne) Brock of Bell, Florida; one sister, Bronice Jeanette Bass of Trenton, Florida; one brother, Jimmy Donald (Louann) Mauldin of High Springs, Florida; Ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Mauldin will be held at 1 P.M. Monday, June 12, in the Wrights Chapel Cemetery, Wrights Chapel Road, Sylvester, Georgia with Pastor Kenny Thomas of the First Pentecostal Church of God, Newton, Georgia officiating and TJ Mauldin assisting as well. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Sunday, June 11, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, 2659 S.W. Main Blvd., Lake City, Florida.
