Mr. Auvil Lawrence “Bo” Walker, age 97, of Macclenny, Florida died Thursday, Jan. 26, at the home of his daughter in Perry, Florida following an extended illness. He was born in Mayo, Florida and had resided in Macclenny, Florida for 55 years. He was a retired electrician from the construction industry. He was a member of the Macclenny Church of God, worked in many community service projects over the years, was a member of Macclenny Lions Club, the Baker County Council on Aging and an Army veteran of W.W. II. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clayton and Sarah Caldonia Sparrow Walker, four sons, Lawrence A. Walker, John W. Walker, Richard M. Walker and Daniel I. Walker and his former wife, Gladys Walker. He is survived by his wife, Mary S. Walker of Homerville, Georgia: His daughter, Debbie (Jeff) Bryson of Perry, Florida: His son, Larry J. (Jean) Walker of Denver, North Carolina: Three step-children, Linda Sue (Ray) Combs, Fred Paul (Grace) Conner and Toppy (Elaine) Conner. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Walker will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Jan. 30, in the Macclenny Church of God with Rev. Shannon Conner officiating. Interment will be in Canaday Cemetery, Moniac, Georgia. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, Jan. 29, at GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East, Macclenny, Florida. www.guerryfuneralhome.net
