It is difficult to think of the adequate words to describe my feelings for Marie. She should be in the category of sainthood. She was and has been a great friend during the time that I lived next door to her on Old Middleburg Road (1975-1977). She was sympathetic, understanding, and supportive to me during one period of my life that was far from happy. I am so glad that we kept in touch over the years. Her family is very fortunate to have such a wonderful woman. She loved children so much. She once told me that if I had a baby, she would be glad to watch it while I was at work and school. May she rest in peace.
