Lacy Leon Hunt

Mr. Lacy Leon Hunt, age 83, of Glen St. Mary, FL passed away Thursday, October 5 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Hunt was born in Branford, FL and lived in Jacksonville, FL before moving to Baker County, FL twenty-five years ago. Mr. Hunt was a pipefitter for over 45 years and was employed by W.W. Gay. He was a member of the Local #234 Pipefitter and Steamfitters Union. Mr. Hunt was an United States Air Force Veteran, a former member of the Shriners Club and Jacksonville Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Road to Calvary Church, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood working. Mr. Hunt is preceded in death by his parents, Hol and Josie Hall Hunt, and one son, Charles Hunt. He is survived by his loving wife, Roxie Hunt: two sons, Ricky (Gail) Hunt of Branford, FL and Mark (Lisa) Hunt of Mayo, FL: one daughter, Ronda Brown of Macclenny, FL: one daughter in law, Rosemary Hunt of Canton, GA. Six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren also survive. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Hunt will be held at 3 P.M., Monday, October 9 in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Anderson officiating. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Sunday, October 8 at the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Manntown Cemetery.
