Henry C. Jenkins

Henry C. Jenkins 78 of Lake City, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville.  Mr. Jenkins was born to Chester and Corene Jenkins in Chipley, Florida in 1938.  He was of the Baptist faith and resided in the local area for more than sixty years.  Henry was a simple man he enjoyed fishing and working in his garden but above all he loved his family.  Mr. Jenkins leaves to cherish his memory daughter, Carol Kulka of Suwannee, Inez Maples, Joyce Killgore and Cindy Reid all of Lake City,  brothers Hubert of Winter Haven and Donald of Lake City, nine grandchildren, twenty two great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Thursday, September 8, 2016 in the chapel of Guerry Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow the funeral service in Siloam Cemetery with Reverend Jim Steele officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Guerry Funeral Home 2659 SW Main Blvd, Lake City, Florida.  386-752-2414 www.guerryfuneralhome.net
