Mary Marie Snow

Mrs. Mary Marie Snow, age 85, of Macclenny, Florida died Thursday, Jan. 19, in the St. Vincents  Medical Center, Jacksonville,  following a short illness.  Mrs. Snow was born in Sanderson, Florida and resided in Macclenny, Florida most of her life.  She worked for many years at the Northeast Florida State Hospital, Macclenny, Florida. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Macclenny,  sang in the choir for many years and was a member of the XYZ group at the church.  She was a board member of the Baker County Council on Aging and loved attending to her yard and garden. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Roy Snow and her parents, Hillary and Elzie Harvey Dugger.  She is survived by her four sons,  Van (Susan) Long and Dwight Long both of Macclenny, Florida, Michael (Judy) Long of Glen St. Mary, Florida and David (Jody) Long of Jacksonville, Florida: Three sisters,   Frances (Raymond) Phillips of Sanderson, Florida, Betty Yarbrough of Glen St. Mary, Fla. and Inez of Lake City, Florida: One brother, Melvin Dugger of Crawfordville, Florida: her aunt, Bertha Harvey of Sanderson, Florida  Six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Snow will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, Jan. 21, in the First Baptist Church of Macclenny, Florida with Dr. Edsel Bone, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Sanderson, Florida. Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday, Jan. 20, at the church. GUERRY FUNERAL HOME, U.S. 90 East.
