Thomas "Tom" Cravey

Mr. Thomas Kevin “Tom” Cravey, age 54, of Lake City, Florida died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017 in Lake City, Florida.  He was born in Lake City, Florida and lived in Sanderson, Florida before moving to Lake City almost 30 years ago.  He was a former guard with the Baker Correctional Facility and most recently worked with Gillman Paper Company, Lake Butler, Florida for many years.  He was a graduate of Baker County High School Class of 1980 and then graduated from Lake City Community College Forestry Program.  He was a member of the Lake City Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing, playing pool and the Florida Gators.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. and Eunice Wheeler Cravey. He is survived by two sisters, Susan (Tim) McKelvey of Yulee, Florida and Krista (Vernon) Nielsen of Glen St. Mary, Florida.  A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Cravey will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, Sept. 25, in the Chapel of Guerry Funeral Home with Rev. James Croft officiating.  Final disposition will be by cremation.  Visitation and gathering with the family will be from 10 to 11 A.M.
